Christopher Nolan
Thirteen films about time, told out of order and shot on film stock the size of a postcard. A director who has never made a sequel to anything except Batman, never shot digitally, and never once let a story run in a straight line when it could run in three.
And the composers who kept up: Zimmer for the middle of the career, Göransson for the end of it, all the way to The Odyssey, shot entirely on IMAX film and scored on lyres and gongs with no orchestra in the room. The themes from both are further down, with links, Sirens included.
