The shelvesevery page on this site, filed by nation
The library keeps its scrolls by nation (Sokka went straight for the Fire Nation section), so these are kept the same way: fifteen pages on five shelves, each with its plain name written underneath.
Water
The Water Tribes. Where things start: home, school, the lessons, and the moon.
Earth
The Earth Kingdom. Ba Sing Se and round it: the university, the work, and the arena.
Fire
The Fire Nation. Swords, suns and stage plays.
Air
The Air Nomads. Things built, places flown to, and arrows earned.
The Spirit World
Other worlds: seventy-four of them, and this one.
The planetariumits ceiling, set to today
Sokka came looking for the Fire Nation’s weakness and found it in this room: a ceiling that can be set to any day, which he turned day by day until the moon slid across the sun and the room went dark. This one starts on today, from your clock, with the moon’s real phase. Turn it yourself.

Leave the library
When Wan Shi Tong decided people could not be trusted with what was on his shelves, he took the whole tower back under the sand. You can leave the same way.
