Star Wars

Everything I’ve built inspired by Star Wars: native Apple apps for translating Aurebesh, Discord bots for Sabacc and Aurebesh, and the high-school projects where it all started.

Rather than screenshots: the alphabet from Aurebesh Translator, the game Sabacc Droid deals, the crystal and hilt from Datapad, and Datapad’s chronometer. All of it computed in this page.

The alphabet

Aurebesh has thirty-four characters: twenty-six letters and eight digraphs, each of which is one character standing for two of ours. Type anything and it is spelled out below, with the digraphs picked up before the single letters, which is the bit everyone transliterating by hand gets wrong.

The letterforms themselves are the app’s job: Aurebesh Translator renders the glyphs, and the Discord droid does it in a channel. This is the alphabet behind both.
