A documentary crew has been filming a paper company in Scranton for nine years, and everybody in the building knows it. That is the whole trick: the looks to camera work because there is a camera. Nothing else on this list gets that much out of a single formal decision.
It is also why the finale lands. The crew finally airs the thing, the branch sits down and watches itself, and the show gets to ask out loud whether nine years of completely ordinary days were worth documenting. They were. No sitcom has bettered that exit.
