The Sunnah
What the Prophet ﷺ said, did and approved of: the second source of Islam, next to the Qurʾān. The Qurʾān commands the prayer; the Sunnah is where the how of it lives: the words, the movements, the times, and a thousand smaller things down to which foot goes through a door first.
It survives because of the most demanding record-keeping project of the pre-modern world: every report carried by a named chain of people, every person in the chain vetted, and every report graded by how it travelled. This page is that machinery, and the habits it delivers into an ordinary Tuesday.
