القرآن الكريم

The Qurʾān

The speech of Allah, revealed to the Prophet ﷺ over twenty-three years, memorised end to end by millions of people, and never revised. The Islam page has its numbers; this page is about the part the numbers cannot carry: that the Qurʾān is a recitation before it is a book, and it is meant to be heard.

The voice I hear it in (Shaykh Muḥammad Ṣiddīq al-Minshāwī, Egyptian like everything else in the identity row) earned a whole page of his own, one tile before this one.
