Disney
Six resorts, twelve theme parks, three continents, and most of the other franchises on this site now living under the same roof. Every park below links to its own official site.
Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.
Walt Disney
It started with one park in Anaheim in 1955, on land Walt bought because he was tired of sitting on a bench at a fairground watching his daughters ride a carousel with nothing built for him to do. Seventy years later it is twelve parks on three continents, and the castle in the middle of each one is the same shape drawn at a different scale.
What holds it together is not the films; it is that every one of these places is built to be walked through in a particular order, with the sightlines controlled the whole way. You are never allowed to see the next land until you are meant to. That is the actual craft, and nobody else does it as well.
