Avengers

Twenty-three films that told one story, which nobody had managed on film before, and then a decade of trying to do it again. Three sagas, six stones, every film to Endgame, the whole roster, and the reason there is a J.A.R.V.I.S. terminal on this site. This is the cinematic universe: I am not much of a comics guy.

There was an idea to bring together a group of remarkable people, so that when we needed them, they could fight the battles that we never could. Nick Fury · the Avengers Initiative

Six singularities that existed before the universe did, compressed into stones by cosmic beings who wanted them portable, and then scattered so that nobody could hold all six at once. Every film in the Infinity Saga is, underneath, somebody moving one of them from one place to another.

Thanos spent twenty-two films collecting them and used them exactly twice: once to win, and once to make sure nobody could undo it. Then Tony Stark put the glove on for four seconds, which was all it took and all he had.

The Six Stonessingularities older than the universe

Six remnants of six singularities that existed before the universe did, each one compressed into a stone by cosmic beings who wanted them portable. Every film in the Infinity Saga is, underneath, somebody moving one of these from one place to another.

Space

The Tesseract

Moves anything anywhere. Sat in a S.H.I.E.L.D. vault for seventy years, opened a hole over New York, and Loki walked off with it in 2012 twice.

Mind

The Scepter

Turned agents into puppets in 2012, hid inside Loki’s scepter for three films, then became a person: Vision, born with it in his forehead.

Reality

The Aether

A liquid rather than a stone, which is why it is the odd one out. Handed to the Collector for safekeeping, which went about as well as everything else he was given.

Power

The Orb

Kills anyone who holds it alone. It takes all four Guardians holding hands to survive it, which is the whole thesis of that film in one shot.

Time

The Eye of Agamotto

Fourteen million six hundred and five futures, checked one at a time, and exactly one of them works. Strange hands it over to buy that one.

Soul

Vormir

The only one with a price: a soul for a soul, and no way to give it back. It costs Gamora, then Natasha, and neither of them return.

One Stone Per Filmthe logo trick

Look at the six Avengers titles in a row and the trick shows itself: each one is graded to a different stone, in saga order. Blue for Space, red for Reality, gold for Mind, purple for Power, and the two that are coming take the last pair: green for Time, orange for Soul. Redrawn below in this site’s own lettering, with the stones drawn uncut the way Thanos found them, because the real logos are not mine to paste.

Doomsday12.18.26

The next one. The teaser was nothing but the A with Latverian stained glass glowing through it, and a date. Redrawn here, glass, mask and all, because this site draws its posters instead of pasting them.

Doomsday · 12.18.26
Latveria’s finest · the fog does most of the work
Everyone gets exactly what they deserve.

Doomsday is the green one on the saga shelf above: the Time slot, December 18, 2026. The teaser understood restraint better than most full trailers do; an A filled with cathedral glass, one date, nothing else. So this page keeps the same rules: the mark as a window, the doctor as a silhouette, and every line of it drawn rather than borrowed.

The Villainsdrawn, badly, by hand

Five caricatures, all of them line and fill and nothing else. The MCU’s villain problem is famous and mostly fair, but these five are the exceptions, and one of them never even got to happen.

Loki

God of Mischief · 2011 – 2023

The best villain the MCU ever had, and the only one it liked enough to keep. Dies in the first ten minutes of Infinity War, comes back through a Tesseract, and ends up sitting alone at the end of time holding every timeline together by hand.

Ultron

Age of Ultron · 2015

Built in an afternoon out of the Mind Stone and Tony’s worst instincts, and correct about almost everything except the solution. He is the argument the rest of the saga has: the thing you build to protect people is the thing that comes for them.

Thanos

The Mad Titan · 2014 – 2019

The only MCU villain given a whole film to himself. He wins, sits down, and watches the sun come up on a grateful universe. Then he is beheaded twenty minutes into the next one, which is the boldest thing Endgame does.

Kang the Conqueror

Cast out · 2021 – 2023

Set up across Loki and Quantumania as the Thanos of the Multiverse Saga, with infinite variants and a whole film named after him. Then Marvel parted ways with Jonathan Majors, The Kang Dynasty was canceled, and the saga had to find a new ending.

Doctor Doom

Doomsday · 2026

The Multiverse Saga’s new ending, played by the man who played Tony Stark. Nobody outside Marvel knows yet how those two facts are supposed to fit together, and that is the most interesting question in the run right now.
